Post It

Last night, my boyfriend had an open studio party at his work, and I saw this on his desk. He said, ‘They are post-its in love.’
I just thought it was so cute, and a nice Friday snippet to share.

Mall Life

Did any of you ever have the fantasy of being locked in the mall over night? Or a camp out at the mall? Or perhaps it was a nightmare of being trapped in the mall. Actually, that happened to me once… for a moment I thought I dreamed it, but no, I was trapped in [...]

The Store with Beautiful Things

I pass this every single day… this morning is the first time I noticed it.

What lies beneath

I’m sure many of you have felt the push/pull duality of the female sexual personae. Personally… I have. Trying to find the comfortable place where I can feel good about my feminine powers. Look at these…

Look at Me is a collection of found photos:
These photos were either lost, forgotten, or thrown away. The images now are nameless, without connection to the people they show, or the photographer who took them. Maybe someone died and a relative threw away their photographs; maybe someone thought they were trash. When I first started [...]

Grandma’s Roses

Visited my grandparents today, it was lovely, my grandmother has a roses in her garden, and garden roses are just my favorite. So pretty, full and lush.
My favorite it to see them in various stages of blooming.

Mother

Orly Cogan’s work with embroidery had got me thinking of feminine traditions and of my own heritage. My mother is Native American and she was adopted into a white family as a baby. About ten years ago, her birth family contacted her, and it’s been great to have a sense of where we came from. [...]
