New Bag… 3.1 Philip Lim Haircalf Satchel

As a blogger, handbags prove to be a loaded topic. I want something pretty, but with my laptop and camera that often has to go in, the pretty bags often weigh a ton, and the big bags look monsterous. Which is why satchels are my favorite kinds of bags. The 3.1 Philip Lim Abichi Satchel was a gift from my husband, who always likes to give sensible gifts with clean, modern design. It has a mixture of patent leather and haircalf which makes it special, yet has the traditional shape and roominess of a satchel. I have to say, that since traveling to Florence, it made the perfect handbag for airplanes, my laptop fit perfectly along with my book, neck pillow, toiletries, and snacks. I couldn’t be happier.

This bag also fits in well with my wardrobe… the menswear inspired yet girly, it goes well with a tweed blazer and my favorite red pants (which after doing this photo shoot, I realized, shouldn’t ever be layered with tights again… hello static!).  Hopefully when I get over this damn cold, I’ll have better outfits, but in the mean time, my schlepping object will be this wonderful bag.
