Topshop Unique SS12: Walk Like An Egyptian

Who can ever get tired of Egyptian motifs? There seems to be countless ways you can freshen up the inspiration, including mixing it in a late 80′s science fiction way. Topshop Unique did it models slicked back hair and gold leaf blobs combed back, spandex, bomber jackets, and platform flats there were a lot of trend pieces you can latch on to, but the Egyptian hieroglyphics and gold winged shoes made for a really fun collection. I loved the gold, pink, black and turquoise palettes and heavy paneling that’s true to the Topshop aesthetic. All in all I’d say it was a fun show… and will I be wearing this next season? Let’s just say I’m practicing my Egyptian walk.

But I’m not quite sure about the second picture, the dress looks a bit wacky, but in a strange way, I like the way the fabric hangs.
