It’s here! A while back I posted the American Living Preview, as I was working on this project photographing a group of bloggers behind the scenes. Well, they made a video of me, in my ‘Made for’ moment. Riding bikes on the weekends. We found a vintage bike shop in NYC that had almost exactly the same bike as my ’68 Schwinn Varsity, only it was yellow. So I had a lot of fun riding around the Village on a a yellow bike, and the video, well it came out really well, considering I had been taking photos all day, and fell down a flight of stairs (running and not paying attention) directly before. In this video, I’m wearing a gingham ruffle blouse with a pleated floral skirt, pattern mixing.. I need to do that more often!

The American Living Cargo Pant (in that gorgeous Grove Orange color) would be my go-to pant for the summer. As much as I like denim, jeans are simply too heavy for the warmer months, and I find myself gravitating to lighter fabrics and to shorter pants. I’d wear these with a crisp white tucked-in boyfriend shirt. I’d add strappy sands with a three-inch heel, and top the outfit off with gold hoop earrings. I’d feel comfortable going just about anywhere in this ensemble, including shopping with friends, with a stop for an iced coffee afterwards. American Living 3/4 Slv Henley (added this since I don’t think I “linked” properly)
I know that striped tops are everywhere, but what I really like about this one is that it has a v-neck, which is really hard to find. I also like the solid band on the 3/4 length sleeves and the added details on the neckline and pockets. My mom bought me a blouse from JC Penny’s a couple months ago, and it fits so well! Their fit-models are REAL people! Also, the workmanship and quality was really good (I was pleasantly surprised).
