It does look a little overly 'done,' but after watching the video, I love it. It reminds me of my mom's hair in the sixties, and that's a good thing.

It's a little mom-ish but I think it's mostly because it's so polished. I'd ruffle it up a bit with just a touch of mousse to make it a little more edgy until it goes back to the length you wanted. Really, it's not bad!

Just a couple of days ago I got virtually the same cut. It's much shorter than I was planning as well. I sort of cried because my hair is kind of my thing.... It's okay in the end because I was able to donate the hair so at least someone will benefit from my seemingly "naked head" feeling. I found that parting it on the side gave me a more "momish" look (even though I am a mom, I'm not into mom hair!) so I had blunt bangs cut and am wearing it with a middle part. It gives it more edge, but it's polished. The clothing choices make all the difference, too. On the bright side, you have gorgeous skin and your hair now frames your face...

I just got the EXACT same haircut and feel the EXACT same way. I think my hairdresser knew from the look on my face after he cut it. He said if I wanted to come back to get layers "at no extra charge" I could. I am going on Friday. Thank GOD my hair grows quickly.

It looks clean and cute on you but I think you're like me and you want a bit of edge.

YOU DO NOT HAVE MOM HAIR.
I think it looks cute, especially after seeing it tousled in your last post. Short hair can be a bit shocking, but you'll get used to it.
I got a bob last summer - and at first it was shocking and I complained for a month - but it forced me to work with my hair try different things. I put it up a lot more, despite the length, wore tons of hats and cute hair accessories (vintage pins on a barrete!) etc. When I have my regular long hair I worked on my outfit and never gave hair a second thought. I think changing your hairstyle gives you a lot more options and keeps you trying out new things.
And, at the end of the day, it's only hair!

pssh don't be silly! it's adorable, chic, and very european looking. It totally isn't shoulder lenghth, but the best thing about hair is that grows back! in the meantime, you can have lot's of fun with scarves, headbands, barettes, hats, and scarves to emphasize your new 'do :]

Jennine,
You look great. I'm not sure you can look bad! When you get a new cut, you just need time to get to know it a little - make it your own. xoxo
