Whenever I go holiday shopping, there’s always a push/pull with my conscious, “One for you, one for me. One for you… one for me.” I can’t help it… it’s hard to be around all those beautiful things without buying something for me! Be that as selfish as it might, there are some gifts that I can get that are for me and for a good cause. Elle has partnered with Fashion Delivers, for the 12 Days of Chic. Fashion Delivers an organization that accumulates home and apparel goods from the industry and redistributes to disaster victims in dire need. In 2008 they distributed $15 million of goods alone, and have been in operation since Hurricane Katrina. For each of these gifts you buy through Elle 50% of the proceeds goes to Fashion Delivers… not bad for justifying buying a Vince gold sequin pencil skirt and some pretty Juicy Couture hair clips.
