Necklush Giveaway!

necklush

Once you get into scarves, it’s a tough to break away. I pretty much will wear a scarf all year around, except the days that would cause heat stroke if I did wear them. As much as I love scarves and any neck garment in general, finding interesting but not ‘crazy’ accessories can be a challenge. I first came across Necklush from Moosh in Indy, who was wearing one of their pieces at NYFW back in February. I really loved how the colorful screen printed cotton jersey strands wrapped together in a not scarf, not necklace, intricate but not fussy accessory.

I was excited when the lovely guys at Necklush sent the Winterberry Necklush Ultra to check out and style myself. After pawing it on someone else (I do that), it was nice to actually work it into how I would wear it. Of course it took me all of two seconds to mess up the strands, but I like how organic and unique an imperfect accessory is, otherwise it takes just a quick shake out to get the strands in order.  Here I decided to make the Necklush the star, by going with a simple outfit.

necklush2Heather crop top and sunglasses from Urban Outfitters • Corset waisted Era of Chaos jeans, with purple fringe heels by NYLA •  The bag is courtesy of Coach (and a sneak peek as to what’s coming for you next week) • Cuff from Market Publique • Ring from Wendy Brandes
(sorry about the pouty face, I was frustrated by the shadow!)

So hard to choose, but this is my favorite Necklush: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=32951160 (Dark Gray Print made from Organic Cotton). Here are my reasons:
1. I dress in pretty neutral colors. This black/white/creme/gray print will allow me to add a pop of brightness that compliments my outfit.
2. I love that it’s shorter w/thicker strands because it’ll keep my long neck comfortable and warm.
3. I’m from Portland, OR and we value eco-friendly, fair-trade, environmentally conscious folks. Organic gets the stamp of approval.

Originally I was really attracted to the black/silver one…but I was like, “no! Ashe! Not black. Find one you like that ISN’T black!” So then I kind of got turned on by this one: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33905065 (though it’d be more perfect on black than white ;)

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33898894 I basically window shop (and by window, I mean computer monitor) for my job and I consistently stop on this website and more importantly this product and admire it. It is beautiful. Such a unique concept and yet this scarf is a classic piece. Well done you! :)

Why, the Necklush Ultra Winterberry of course! With pink for its known therapeutic qualities and purple because it is so regal and I wear it all the time.

I love the winterberry with the purple tassle heels, such a nice combination! I have a necklush, I have the Ultra in “Oranges and Reds” and it is so great. I wear it with everything. I am thinking of also getting this one,
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33619806
Natural with black print.
I think it’s a very unique pattern and classic colours which result in a great look which could be worn with anything.

Necklush has been one of my favorite sellers for a while now, I love their stuff! How exciting that you are featuring a designer from etsy. You know I’m a fan. ;) Right now, this is my favorite piece in their shop: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31911850
(necklush ultra – natural with dark grey (organic))

1. I love the print, super versatile/neutral-ish, but with an edge. Love that.
2. I’m getting more & more picky about buying things that are ethical in some capacity.
3. I love the fuller style for maximum impact!

I love wearing accessories that stand out, hence why I’ve gone for such a bright and eyecatching one! I’d wear it with a simple black dress and amazing patent hotpink shoes/boots (if I could find such boots I’d be the happiest girl alive!) though it’s such a great piece I’m sure even if I wore it with some clashing colors I’d manage to make it look deliberate and on-trend! I love the way you can wear it in so many different ways as well, where I live its SO COLD at the moment and I’d take great joy in snuggling up to it around my neck :)

Oh I’ve been coveting the necklush deep purple w/silver print ever since I first laid eyes on it months ago. Why? Because it’s absolutely perfect. The deep purple colour which will go with nearly everything, the lovely and random detailing of the screenprint, and the fuller, thicker strands all more than meet me needs for a fantastic scarf/cowl to accessorize my outfit in a flash. And I only buy handmade if I can help it and love to convert others to become Etsy shoppers, so I’d love to show this beauty off and tell everyone where I got it.

So many great options, but I have to go with the gray with magenta (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=32843055). Simply because it’s the perfect “pop” of color that is enough to make an outfit stand out, but is neutral enough to go with just about anything. Love these!

I am a big fan of charcoal: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33237762

It would go a long way for me – I love wearing color in my daily wardrobe so this charcoal color would carry through so I could wear it with lots of colors – jewel tones down to pastel peachy/pinks.

Oooh it was difficult to choose, but I think my favourite at the moment would be the blue with print: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33514593, mainly because I’m trying to work more blue into my wardrobe as I used to wear it all the time a few years ago, but haven’t recently. I also have blue eyes and have been told I should wear blue near my face to “bring them out” a bit.

I’m heading back to Sydney, Australia very soon, and would love to have a Necklush cowl tucked in my bag. Aside from it being perfect for the weather Down Under, there is nothing better than being stopped in Sydney and asked about something I’m wearing, and being able to respond: “Thanks…it’s from the United States!”

My favourite is the Necklush Plush in Brick http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vl_other_1&listing_id=30470140 It was a tough choice – I was going to choose something neutral but then I saw this one and thought how fabulous it would be to cheer up a winter outfit. It would go great with my grey winter coat.

Also really like the way your outfit was neutral but there was a splash of purple at the top with your scarf and the bottom with your boots it really brought the outfit together. maybe if i won this neckplush I’d wear it with red shoes! ;)

Love them all but this is my fave: *necklush – pale taupe strands* http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33834720

why?
- because of the color, which suits a coat that I just bought and
- because this style is so unique & versatile – you can wear it like a necklace, braid it or wrap it around and…. one scarve many looks. Looks like a lot of fun. Perfect!

Thus my choice of *necklush – pale taupe strands*

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33758932

I couldn’t decide if I would rather have something a bit more colorful to add to simple outfits to make them more interesting or if I should choose something neutral. I went with the neutral piece because I already paried it with at least 5 dresses/tops in my closet after looking at it.
