Congrats to JeanneB for being the first one to guess ‘Whose Shoes?’ correctly! Well… it only took a few minutes and guesses to find out, then again, I ‘m not very stealthy when it comes to secrets. Over the weekend I was working on a project with Francis by Christian Francis Roth and was staying with Wendy Brandes, who is one of the best people I know, in so many ways. To tell the truth I’m a bowl of jello right now from how much fun we had, from a delirious day that seemed to last 3 months and late night conversations about funny dog habits, YouTube obsessions, and as we say in German… ‘my eyes were bigger than my stomach.’ (they also have another wise saying ‘you can’t see the forest through the trees.’)

In reality, this weekend made me miss the time before I was glued to the computer monitor for 18 hours a day, spending some quality time offline, having real life conversations, are so much better. This trip also made me long for New York, which is strange, because I pretty much chalked myself up to being a California girl to the core, but NYC is really growing on me. We’ll see.

It’s so wonderful that you’ve got projects to work on, and to get away from the computer! I think we all need to do that, especially with such talented and beautiful company as you (and the ladies you were with!).
