A Sequin Patchwork Escapade

by jennine on July 14, 2009

Over the weekend we went to the Bright Tradeshow in Frankfurt with Uli of FashionFreax. All in all it was good, not really my style generally speaking, as I’m not a skater boy, or a skater chick, though my little brother did try to teach me how to do an ollie once, the result is a scar on my knee you can still see sixteen years later.

Some of the bright spots of the show were the amazing building it was in, the old Frankfurt police station full of skaters, the atmosphere was much like the 1984 version of Suburbia meets Kids (1995). Holy moly. My absolute favorite part was finding Lin Fashion, a streetwear label that integrates embroidery, sequins and patchwork into your not so average tee shirts and scarves. I particularly liked the quirky illustrations embellished to a “T” (couldn’t resist, I love puns!).  Lin Fashion can be found at Barneys New York in the US and Modetrotter in Europe.

Oh and here’s a picture of me and Rocky outside the tradeshow. As you can see I’m wearing very casual ‘Saturday’ clothes, not really worthy of a whole post (I already posted about my nondescript outfits here)… but it’s what I wear when I’m not in a ‘dressing up mood.’ Rocky on the other hand has a few Member’s Only jackets he likes to wear, and it’s pretty much a staple outfit for him too.

That shirt your pulling from the rack reminds me of Where the Wild Things Are so of course I want it.

You and Rocky look awesome here, looks like married life is suiting you both well.

great pieces! and your outfit looks really nice for a “casual” outfit! I just throw on a tee and shorts when I’m not feeling dressy. :b
