On the B-Side

aks787_1_web_close_largeThere is nothing subtle about the streets of New York. Intense, bold, energetic, walking down the streets, I have never felt more alive in any other city.

Inspired by ‘art battles’ in NYC Ken and Dana have started a jewelery label called B-Side. Big bold, industrial, with sculptural pieces out of brass, silver enamel, and quartz which certainly make a statement. They’ve been collaborating with Geren Ford’s runway shows for three seasons, and have been mentioned in Nylon, W, Vouge and Elle among other mainstream fashion magazines.

Each week they do a ‘design battle’ Its where they freestyle a new design each week and feature it for a “battle price” (always under $150) for the feature week. This week it’s the smoky quartz earrings (featured above) for $70.

If you sign up for their mailing list you’ll be in the running to receive a free graffiti bangle. View their whole collection at Ken and Dana design.
