I finally got these Pour La Victoire shoes… there is a long story of international shipping from Gilt (via my Mom because Gilt doesn’t ship to Europe) but I ordered these in March, and well, when I came home last night, a lovely box with these shoes were there waiting for me. The shoes are perfect with the peep toe and the sturdy, sculptural heel. I didn’t know this, but there is a little padding in the ball of the shoe making it a bit more than already comfortable.
Today I’m off to the German Foreign Affairs office to take care of some visa issues, then Saturday we’re going back to Bavaria for a little paper signing wedding-related thing (the ceremony’s not yet..not yet!) and then we’re back to Frankfurt.. then Chicago. So to make a long story a long story, I’m happy to have my new shoes, of course I’m always happy to have new shoes.

I haven’t really announced it because we’re working on the details of the ceremony, everything’s been up in the air…. i keep waiting for something more concrete, but the only thing really is the paper signing, the ceremony is been kind of a headache in getting the dates confirmed.
