I definitely experiment less as I get older – not necessarily because I've become risk-averse. I've simply gotten to know what works well. I bought two things for my mom at the Chanel counter once but was able to put together a nice little gift set, because the saleswoman threw in a mini mascara, mini powder compact and some samples packets.
