Rainy Days

by jennine on May 6, 2009

Yesterday Rocky and I made a trip out to the countryside in Bavaria, where we’ll be staying for some weeks… It’s really gorgeous out here with the farms, the Alps in the background, the quiet country roads. This morning though, it rained, but spring rain is different, the drops on the blossoms the damp air rich with life.  I’m not really dressed extra-creative today, more like relaxed and cozy, perfect for walks on the country roads.

Just beautiful! Love your photography. It makes me yearn for a rainy day in the countryside. It’s been rainy here in NY, but just not as picturesque… As for gray knits, I find them to be my ultimate version of “fashion comfort food.”

Amazing. I’m totally jealous, ever since I became a fan of Herzog I’ve always wanted to visit the areas where he grew up.

Are those tansies in the last photo? I’ve been trying to find some of those locally to grow in my garden.

Beautiful as always – I especially love your shoes, I’m always gathering up odd granny lace ups and yours are definitely a prize! =)

Wow, those photos are so inviting! I would love a week or three in the countryside right now.

Sigh. It looks utterly gorgeous. I’d even trade the balmy weather we’re having here in MN for an afternoon in rainy Bavaria.

This post is so, so beautiful. I’m so envious of your ability to leave the States behind, and to be open to the changes that resulted in it. Experiencing things like this must just be awe-inspiring.

(Not to mention, more and more, I’m wanting flat brogues.)

I love all of these pictures, Jennine. Especially the shot with your shoes with mud on them. This is probably one of my favorite shoots you’ve done. :]

Relaxed and cozy, yes, but the fit and drape of all your pieces is just lovely. And great job on the photography as always!

Oh I will say hi if I see you walking down the street, looks as if this is a village nearby. What a coincidence.
Unfortunately Bavaria is not always as nice, especially when you’re living here like me. Gets boring…

I’m the same shade of green as that lush Bavarian grass with envy. I think the photograph of the love heart sums up everything…beautiful.
