When I lived in the city, I didn’t need my car every day… so when it died, I didn’t get a new one, I joined zipcar. And for my life it worked out even better than having my own car. When I first heard about Bag, Borrow or Steal (now Avelle) back in the days when fancy bags were the hot thing, and shoes, well… ballet flats? Yeah, I miss those. For those of us who go through bags… or want one for that event… you know wedding season is coming up, bag share isn’t a bad idea. Granted I’m still living in my SwanDiamondRose tote.. and I dont’ really go out all that much, maybe in my alternate life as a fabulista.
Avelle, also has a great outlet of their used inventory, I was able to find this huge Lambertson Truex patent leather hobo for 60% off.. man, if I took that to fashion week, I’d be able to fit both my laptops, my heels, makeup, both my cameras, notepad, a change of clothes, random stuff, an umbrella and maybe a couple of paperback books. Oddly enough, that’s not far off from what I normally carry. My great hope is they’ll have handbags with trolleys one day. Heck, school kids have trolleys on backpacks now. Spoiled kids.

I would get the Chanel Vintage Classic 2.55 Quilted Bag. I would fill it with gorgeous make up and take it out to a party and show it a good time! And then I would take it home and hang it on my door so I could look at it all night!

Looks like a telephone? I’m in vintage love! With my fabulous white shift dress (totally 60’s)and the saddle shoes of my dreams (drat that college budget!), I’d traipse down the sidewalk, talking on a strangely large, yet still mobile, phone.

I would have to go for Chanel because I’ve been swooning for one ever since I can remember. The style of this bag just blows me away, and I love the gray leather quilting.
As soon as I got this I’d fill it with everything that I could possibly need to go out, including my tooth brush. I’d then stroll around the town in my huge sunglasses going into every store and maybe stopping for some tea and a chance to write in my diary about the day.

I’m a sucker for classics, and the edgy take on a classic shape is just wild enough to take an outfit from boring to brilliant in one swoop! Another of my favorites is the Kate Spade ‘Bilbao’ Quinn Handbag. It is the perfect size for carrying essentials but will not impede posture due to the weight of the bag.
