Global Warm & Fuzzies

Seriously, I looked high and low this week for online eco-boutiques that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. There are a few, but the warm fuzzies don’t come as strong as with Beklina. This online boutique has a different approach, going more along the lines of down home and devastatingly cool boutiques like Creatures of Comfort, Beklina finds the cool stuff and based in Northern California, the three-woman family operation hand selects the loveliest pieces and makes sure they have some kind of sustainable approach, whether from slow design, hand made, sustainable fabrics, each designer represented has a story attached, so you know where your clothes are coming from.

Honestly, as a fan of some of these designers, Rachel Comey, Moicun, Ivana Helsinki, I didn’t know they had a sustainable approach. Other ec0-regulars like She-Bible, Linda Loudermilk and Ashley Watson can also be found in this lovely boutique. Man, I love the She-Bible fringe top… if I had that I’d pretend I was a car wash all day.

Hah! I’ll never look at that fringe tank the same way again.

Fab! Really nice pieces. The first dress really reminds me of a piece from Ungaro’s S/S 09 collection. Both this and Ungaro’s dresses are so simple yet so elegant http://media.onsugar.com/files/upl1/12/129120/40_2008/83101391_10.jpg
