Yesterday was my birthday… and last week was The Coveted’s 2 year anniversary. It’s amazing how much has changed in the last few years. When I started this blog, I was working, but I didn’t know towards what, there was a lot of things up in the air, but nothing made any sense. In the last two years there’s been a lot of ups and downs. Last year I left my friends, my home, and my job to come to Germany, and it’s been a tough year with little money and being in a place far away from home, but then I had the time to devote to what I really wanted to do, and now things are really starting to look amazing, this past year we’ve had Sonja write fabulous beauty posts, which I wouldn’t be able to do even nearly as well, and this past month, I’ve been traveling a lot for my blogs and I had the chance to meet many of you, connect with the community and feel like there is something more to blogging than just typing away at night alone, that there is something ultimately more human, more real than the virtual world says it has to offer. That behind the pixels, there are real people, and that’s the best part.
Yesterday was really amazing, in the morning we were still in Paris. I was really tired from the month of hard work, so I took it off to do basically nothing. Just wandering around, eating cakes and macaroons from Laudrée and enjoying the pre-spring weather… Cold enough to wear a sweater, warm enough to be outside not freezing. I wore a comfy oversized Irish cable-knit sweater with a silk skirt and my favorite white shoes. It was really relaxed, as I didn’t realy want to try too hard on my own birthday.
