You are beautiful

It’s a Big Beauty Party

A week of beauty delights is upon us. Stop by your local Saks for Shape Up, Make Up Beauty Week. I love a good beauty event. And Saks knows how to do them right. They’re always so much fun. It’s like a big beauty party.

Pop in for a mini-facial and a free gift with $50 purchase in cosmetics or fragrance.

For this event, the focus is on stress-free beauty, renewed colors, and healthy living. It’s the perfect time to see the new spring colors and get pampered – and a fabulous way to start the new year. Pop in for a mini-facial and a free gift with $50 purchase in cosmetics or fragrance. It’s a Stephanie Johnson cosmetics bag filled with treats from Dior, Lanvin, Chanel, PumpOne fitness, Lunabar, and more.  There will also be drawings for some sweet prizes: Carlos Falchi totes,  PumpOne workout programs, and Canyon Ranch skincare products.

Beauty counters also have their own special events. At the Trish McEvoy counter in San Francisco, National Trainer Kitty Pankratz will be sharing expert tips and demonstrating in small, group classes on Saturday, January 17th. Everyone gets one-on-one attention with a makeup artist (read: get your makeup expertly done before a night on the town). Trish also has a special gift for class attendees, in addition to the Saks gift. Call your favorite counters for details on individual special events and to make appointments.

If you can’t make it to Saks, no worries. It’s a-ok to call in your order and get your beauty bonuses. Party on.

P.S. Be sure to check out our new, regularly updated Beauty Resources page for some fantastic beauty deals.

  1. I got mine! However, apparently the goodies in the bag vary by location and I didn’t get what looks like a beautiful peach lip gloss! I also got the Chanel gift (with $75 purchse). It was interesting to see how much less both of these gifts were compared to previous events – or maybe they were just different?

  2. ❤ Gail, that’s what I love about Saks’ Beauty Weeks, that you usually can get more than one gift, depending on what counters you go to. Sorry that you didn’t get the gloss though. That’s such a pretty color. As for gifts varying from event to event, I’ve definitely seen big variations. I guess it all depends on how big of an event it is. If you haven’t already, ask the salespeople at your favorite counters to put you on their mailing/call lists. I get emails and calls and get to find out exactly what bonus goodies are to be had. It’s a really good way to get fun bonuses!

  3. Hi Sonja,
Thanks for your reply. I do get calls from people, so I’m made aware of the gifts. After I wrote my post, I realized I was only looking at the gifts and not the other perks – Makeovers, facials, events. And I actually got my make-up done by my Chanel person and a bunch of samples in addition to the gift. I guess I had a day of looking at the glass 1/2 full instead of 1/2 empty – or is it the other way around? I always screw this saying up. Anyway, I wasn’t seeing all the good stuff in front of me!

  4. ❤ Gail, that’s exactly why I love a good beauty event at a department store. You get so many treats and so much personal attention. I love the self-serve style of Sephora, etc. But you can beat the customer service at a place like Saks. I’m so glad you got such a good haul and had such a nice time. :)
