One of my favorite posts on the Manolo’s Shoe Blog is the ‘Who’s Shoes Wednesday‘ The Manolo picks a celebrity, and shows us only shoe shots…then we get to guess. I never get it right, so I never comment an answer… but I love the idea of looking at the sole of a celebrity. Apparently Gerrit Starczewski had the same thought… a fashion photographer, Gerrit went around taking the phototgraphs of musicians, but instead of taking pictures of their faces we get shots of their shoes. I really like how they are also scuffed up and worn in, pretty much like my own shoes. It really brings a whole new light to the rockstar personae.
Gerrit Starczewski is showing this collection of photos in Cologne 19. – 24.Januar 2009 at Stadtgarten during Cologne Music Week. Maybe I should make an analog visit to Tres Plus Cool. You can also visit his blog Dancing Shoes if you can’t make it to Cologne.

Sure this is a post for me! I love those photos and I’m always amazed how shoes can tell a story. I can’t make it to Cologne but I will look at the website. Thanks for sharing.
Squuueeee, I own the first pair, the Marc Jacobs misplaced heels! I adore them, and always get compliments. Seeing them makes my day, I wish I was wearing them now!
