Honestly, if it were socially acceptable to walk around outside wrapped in a blanket… I’d probably do it. Blankets just seem warmer than coats, and well, there is something rather pitiful/cold/lazy about walking around wrapped in a blanket, which is how I feel when it’s 1°C outside. Since, in reality, I can’t be so lazy, I have a ton of scarves and pashminas which I constantly wear during the winter months, and I don’t often have them in the photographs because after a while, seeing Jennine wear another scarf can get a bit stale. Believe me, I’m wearing one right now.
Finding good pashminas can be difficult, as there are a lot of synthetic versions, and the cashmere ones can get pretty pricey… that’s why when Pashmina International approached me to do a review, I thought the timing couldn’t be more perfect because I was in desperate need of a new one as my other pashminas are quite old and well worn in. I’ve pretty much worn this every day since I got it last week, and it’s soft and really warm. So I can safely say I love it. The price range is between $27-$75 with varying fibers from cashmere/silk mixture to pure cashmere, and merino wool.
Along with scarves, I’ve been meaning to touch upon the subject of headgear… during the summer, I’ve experimented with wearing belts in my hair, and with sweater belts, this couldn’t be a better way to add the extra bit of warmth without being too bundled.

Sigh. You look so elegant.
It seems cosy and warm and the prices are reasonable. Could be a good idea for a Christmas gift. And WendyB is right, you look very elegant.
Agreed with the other commenters – very elegant, super chic! I definitely want to try out this look on some upcoming colder days.
aw thank you… i wish i felt elegant, so i guess looking so is a step!

“If it were socially acceptable to walk around outside wrapped in a blanket”
Why not? How many of our clothes were socially unacceptable for many many decades and now is the common thing on Earth!
Love the hair-belt!
I’m on my 2nd pashmina. & though I’ve seen others say the trend is more than tired, I’m too cold to argue. I’ve got mine on now!
❤ cecile… hehe, don’t get met started on this!
❤ ambika, you and me both.
love it!
I’m with you. I always have a warm Pashmina or wool shawl wrapped over my shoulders during these long cold month. Have to do something to keep the thermostat low! I always throw one in my carry-on luggage when traveling too. My fav is a spring green wool paisley from last year’s Lucky Brand line.
really great colors.

My mind is a little blown from the sweater belts in your hair. What a great idea! It seems so obvious yet I don’t think I ever would have thought of it–love it!
