I love when I find a product that multitasks, especially in this crappy economy. I mean why buy two or three products, when just one will do? Not only do you save money, you save space on your bathroom shelves.
Farmaesthetics Eyebright Eye Makeup Remover and Treatment Oil is a major bargain when you consider all that it does – and does well. It’s excellent at gently removing eye makeup. While it cleans, it also moisturizes, smooths, soothes, and depuffs so I don’t have to apply an eye cream afterward. I discovered that this oil soothes red, puffy skin like a champ when I got a nasty cold this weekend. I even used it around my nose, which became chapped from endless noseblowing. Before I go to bed, I dab some on my lips to make them nice and soft. You can also put the oil on cotton pads to make relaxing eye compresses.
It’s safe for sensitive skin, because it has no scent and is free of the chemical and synthetic ingredients, which are often found in makeup removers. In fact, it’s only made of six ingredients, including eyebright complex, which reduces redness, and soothing Chamomile, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory. $23 for a one-ounce bottle that lasts a long time, because a little goes a long way. Available at farmaesthetics.com and at spas around the U.S.
Farmaesthetics is a line of 100% natural, synthetic-free, premium “green” skincare products for face and body. They use organically grown herbs and flowers from American family farms. The company has signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics, a pledge to formulate products without ingredients that are known or suspected to cause certain health harms within three years of signing.
Do you have a great multitasker you love?
In light of these troubled times, I’m keeping an eye out for more high-quality multitaskers and other beauty bargains. I’ll continue to share them with you as I find them. Do you have a great multitasker you love?

my favorite product to use when removing pesky eye makeup would definitely be philosophy’s purity cleanser. i love a little bit of bubble and it seriously washes away every bit of goo!

❤ Sara, removing eye makeup can be such a challenge. So many cleansers don’t do a good job. Thanks for the great tip!
Great post. This sounds like a great product that I would love to try, I’m just a little confused tho about the ingredient “eyebright complex” as eyebright is something I have used IN my eye to help with sty-like things and eyeball redness, but obviously an eye make-up remover is for the eye lid and outer eye area. Maybe I shouldn’t be confused – I guess this is just a helpful product for the outer eye that won’t be harmful if it gets in your eye? Oh god, I just really overanalyze sometimes!
❤ Gail, good question. I’m not sure about that. It is for the SKIN around the eye. But perhaps it helps when some of it gets in your eye, which products inevitably do – all the more reason to use something natural. If you’d like to ask someone who’s in the know, here’s Farmaesthetics’ number: 800-711-9194. Or you can contact them through their website: http://www.farmaesthetics.com/Inquiry.aspx.
Thanks, Sonja! I agree with your statment “all the more reason to use something natural”. I also love the multi-tasking facetness of the product. Look forward to more of your posts!
❤ Thanks so much, Gail!
I like Villainess products a lot. I like their Datura Slick because I use it as eyemakeup remover and I also use it on the ends of my hair as a nice split end fix. They don’t advertise it as such but it sure works well!
❤ Gaby, I’ve never heard of Villainess. I’ll have to check out their stuff. Aren’t oils great? They’re so versatile!
❤ Gail, I checked in with Farmaesthetics about your question. Here is their response:
Eyebright is an herb and that has been used for centuries in tea compresses to help ease eye strain, redness, puffiness, darness and swelling when applied externally.
We use it in this formualtion for the same thing, but the herb is not steeped for this product, it is extraced into oils and then combined with the other herbal ingredints to accomplish all the things we need in an eyetreatment.
This product is for external use only, and although it will not harm the eye if it gets into it …please apply to closed lids and let it absorb into the eye area…you’ll get results.
also a huge fan of datura slick, although it is a little bit expensive to use on eyes and face.. but it smells lovely (although mild) and has made my skin happier.
❤ Ripley, thanks for commenting about Dautura slick. I’ll definitely have to look into it. Thanks!
