The Glamazons

One of the many cool things about being a fashion blogger is watching designers evolve. Earlier this year, I stumbled upon Greek born, and London based Iaonnis Dimitrousis on myspace, and instantly fell in love with his ribbons and knits… it kind of felt like someone finally combined my favorite sweater dress with the handle bar streamers on my bike, then sexed it up into something really special.

As if this season’s collection didn’t do enough… he went on to make a wonderful collection of sexy knits with long fringes and wooden bead details for SSO09. Though he refers to this collection as : “an antiglamour show with nostalgic moments of the past eras with contemporary influences.” I beg to differ… it’s very glamourous… I would even say it’s glamazon worthy.

IoannisDimitrousis.com and there’s a great interview with him on Lynn&Horst.

  2. [...] One shoulder dresses and shirts, actually never went out of style… heck, I just posted a SS09 collection loaded with one shoulder dresses. And I’ve been seeing them all over the internet. I’ve been thinking, ‘Hey… [...]

  3. I like the netting/crochet look. but, um, what’s up with the streamers dangling from their eyes?
