The Glamazons

One of the many cool things about being a fashion blogger is watching designers evolve. Earlier this year, I stumbled upon Greek born, and London based Iaonnis Dimitrousis on myspace, and instantly fell in love with his ribbons and knits… it kind of felt like someone finally combined my favorite sweater dress with the handle bar streamers on my bike, then sexed it up into something really special.

As if this season’s collection didn’t do enough… he went on to make a wonderful collection of sexy knits with long fringes and wooden bead details for SSO09. Though he refers to this collection as : “an antiglamour show with nostalgic moments of the past eras with contemporary influences.” I beg to differ… it’s very glamourous… I would even say it’s glamazon worthy.

IoannisDimitrousis.com and there’s a great interview with him on Lynn&Horst.

Fascinating! I love the red and blue dresses. I would love to see one of these actually worn out somewhere – to see what the wearer might do in terms of slips or whatever ~ It seems like you could get really creative with it!
