It’s officially autumn in my heart. Most of my life I’ve lived in ultra-mild climates, so autumn has always been more a fashion shift than a seasonal change. Here in woodsy Germany, the trees are turning yellow and red and there’s a chill in the air and at times gloomy grey skies. The colorful shower of leaves and acorns on the ground are so lovely, I’ve never really experienced that before.
These past few weeks I’ve been avoiding the camera, mostly because I was sick all last week and it was a miracle if I changed my pajamas, much less don an outfit suitable for documentation. So… now I’m resorting to integrating some of my summer clothes, the oversized tunic I lived in all summer over a turtle neck, accessorized in black and brown. Tweed, of course is the ultimate atumnal texture. And lastly the vintage fur cap, I found at the market…it’s not quite cold enough yet, but I’m waiting.

I must say you have been one of my inspirations to take more pictures of myself (since your old-old blog) and thanks for recent post and links to diy portraits. I still find it I’m very camera/internet shy (unlike real life) but that’s something im working at

aw thanks meli! it does take practice… at first i looked really angry in all my pictures. my friends didn’t even recognize me in my early pics. hehe… but it’s fun.

I live in Holland, and last week I was making a real effort to change my summer clothes into wearable winter/autumn outfits. It sure was cold here!
