Grass Knuckles & Pussy Willow

Ever since I was a little girl and made a daisy chain with clover flowers during recess, I’ve been captivated by wearing plants as jewelry. The lovely folks over at Inhabitat brought my attention to Icelandic product designer Hafsteinn Juliusson’s set of jewelry set with Icelandic moss you can grow on your own hands. I’m wondering if this is the beginning of the Green Thug movement.

Pussy Willow

If gardening isn’t really your thing, or you have a tendency to kill plastic plants, you might be interested in Stephanie Simek’s Pussy Willow Earrings. Pussy Willow buds soft as rabbit’s feet are set in oxidized silver ‘like silent wind chimes’… ah, my favorite kind of wind chimes.

  11. As soon as the latest R &/or B singer/rapper (whatever, I listen to rock) starts sporting ‘em it will go global. As for me, well, I couldn’t keep my basil alive so I have no hope.
