The Impossible, Yet Perfect Leather Dress

by jennine on June 5, 2008

I have a knack for buying things out of season.

Swimsuits in December, boots in August, necessity has little to do with what I tend to covet. Last Saturday I found the perfect leather dress at the flea market. It is just gorgeous, with the zip sleeves that also roll up. I’ve never seen anything like it. Because the lining was so damaged, (Rocky) was able to haggle them down to a VERY reasonable price. I then took it to the tailor to get the lining replaced. All in all, the dress was still under $75 which for a leather dress is super cheap.

I know, I know, it’s the beginning of summer, but when I see something good, I snag it, if I don’t, well… come autumn and winter, I’ll be kicking myself.

Dress: Vintage
Shoes: Marc Jacobs
Bracelets: Marc Jacobs and H&M
Umbrella: Rocy’s Mom’s…

marie… i think the tag was sewn to the lining, the tailor just gave me the care instructions… so i’m afraid, i don’t know.
