Endless Summer
I’ve always had mixed emotions when it came to summer. Since childhood, I loved the freedom and playfulness of the season, but I dreaded the boredom and the unbearable heat. Ok, so it’s never hot in San Francisco, the good weather doesn’t begin until September, here in Germany, summer has begun.
As for Summer fashion, let’s see what’s on? What’s inspiring me this season are:

50s frocks and summer dresses. One piece things in particular. No fuss, no muss, and it looks super classy.
over here in singapore it’s summer all year round, which is probably the reason why many don’t really bother to dress up since the weather is indeed hot and humid…
but of course with some good finds comes beautiful outfits…
i feel exactly the same about summer - sometimes i even feel… well, depressed. like on a sunday evening. also because this year - again - there won’t be any real vacation i can look forward to. so when everyone is gone, where pretty much “alone” for some time in the city.
Yay for the ugly prettiness!
It’s funny how in the winter you forget about prickly heat and headaches and hayfever, and then in the summer, you forget about tights and cold ears and noses!

oh my, i hear you fenke… but then again, i’m in a new city, so that counts as a vacation, right?
Move to Northern Scandinavia, you guys, then you will LOVE summer. But you might get depressed in the winter in stead… Darn.
I agree about the comfort and ugly pretty. I’m also still going for florals and mixed patterns this season. Call me old fashioned.
