Today’s Attire : Time Warp

I’ve always had a fondness for Hammer Pants… It was huge in the late 80’s early 90’s… and in a way, they are the bell bottoms of my generation. The idea of actually wearing them again, was strange. Had I finally reached the age when a hot new trend came and went and is now back again?

When I found these Hammer Pants at the flea market last Saturday, and thought I’d just give it a go, just for kicks… I figure if you mix your vintages right and wear clothes in a new expressive way, you can pretty much wear whatever you want.  I wouldn’t come off as a woman stuck in a time warp. Clothing is more about attitude than anything else, regardless of what’s ‘In‘ and what’s ‘out‘… ahem… Anne Sloweywho so eloquently put an expiration date on the DRESS! Will all us lovely ladies in dresses be in a time warp?

Well, as the say at the Rocky Horror Picture Show…

(Rocky Horror Picture Show should be seen at the Cinema, and if you haven’t seen it… please do so… it’s way too much fun)

  6. Oh, Hammer Pants! Honestly, not personally my favorite, but I do like the way you’re wearing them - the first pic is especially chic! Also, I totally agree re Atitude.
