I’m always fascinated by things that are mini micro or by things that are ultra macro. Especially if it’s jewelry. Well, it’s pretty safe to say, that I’m fascinated by anything pretty and shiny. Yes, it really is that simple.

For the past few years, I’ve been looking at micro mosaic and mosaic jewelry. As a child, I remember playing with my mothers mosaic pill box, she inherited from her grandmother. It was so pretty, and even though they just carried Tylenol, I always imagined there was some magic potion inside.

You can still find these little morsels around, mosaic jewelry has been around for centuries. In Victorian times, micro mosaics were kind of like postcard jewelry, only a lot nicer. Today, I look at these little works of art, and appreciate the beauty of the stones and they, have a natural life about them, and the colors are are just so lovely.

My mom had one of those pill boxes and I have a pin like it too. I got mine on my honeymoon in Italy.
