In the real world...

I’m selling all my stuff and moving to Germany

move.jpg

It’s true. I bought the ticket, turned in my notice at work. I’ll be leaving in March…

Going to Europe for love, and for love of adventure. You know, I thought I’d never fall in love again, nor would I ever leave San Francisco… It goes to show how vivid my imagination is. But everything seems to be falling in place, it’s time… and I feel real good about the move. My boyfriend is German, and needs to go back home to finish his degree. We talked about it a lot, and decided we didn’t want to be apart. He has a lovely place to live… and I have lived abroad before, I went to college in London, so I won’t be far away from my friends. And I know I can always come back.

Anyway, I’ll be selling a good chunk of my stuff on eBay and Etsy… right now I’m sorting all the stuff I think I can part with. Marc Jacob shoes, I harldy wear… a blue sparkly shirt.. etc.

So check back in tomorrow, I’ll have more details. I mean, if you’re interested in buying any of my clothes.

:)

Best of luck, I’ve never commented here before but I visit you blog at least twice a day.

Well done for having the bravery to make this change - it’s the decision making that’s the hardest part, I truly think you’re wonderful and your style will travel wherever you go.
I hope you will also sell internationally, I covet your wardrobe on a daily basis…

Needless to say, best of luck! It’ll be a wonderful change for you, and I will be excited to see the influences Germany has on the Coveted.

  48. Hello Jennine!
Frankfurt is not so far away from cologne where I live. (One hour with the high speed train) Maybe there will be a chance we can meet one day? That would be exciting….

    success with moving!

    Posted by Fenke | February 4, 2008, 2:04 am
  49. Oh my! This will be perfect for our not-yet-planned-but-been-in-mind-for-ages first fashionblogger meeting in germany! frankfurt is… fine. Not far from Mahret, although she’ll move to berlin soon ;)

Frankfurt is very “business”, lot of white collars - but good for shopping and certainly a good starting point for travels all around europe, since it’s almost central and has a huge trainstation and the biggest airport

you’ll have fun there! will you start learn Deutsch?

  54. Oh my gosh! I’m so excited! This is just amazing… Mary, yes, I’m planning on learning Deutsch, although, I keep calling my class the shpraklekoors (which drives rocky crazy). And I’d LOVE to do a bloggers get together in Berlin… Fenke, It would so great to meet you!

I’m not leaving Europe w/o going to both Spain & France

And Susie, you bet… you know I have a great fondness for London, and I’m certainly going to be there.
