Today’s Attire : Gradients in real life

gradient tights

This morning I just woke up and put on what was on top of the pile. Yes, sometimes it’s that simple the reasoning behind my outfits. The cool thing is, that the ladies in the office really love the hand-dyed tights I made the other day… And it’s cool because I really love them.

I wasn’t going to post a today’s attire, but it’s good to share what I actually wear during the day, so the concepts I think of and play dress up with can be applied to real life. Since doing today’s attire, I’ve really gotten to think a lot about what kind of clothing a person can wear on a daily basis, how expressive can you be in the confines of Corporate America. Granted, I’m a creative and I live in California… where pretty much anything goes. So why not push the limits as much as possible?

  6. I was just thinking about this today, and then I saw your gorgeous tights and sighed some more.

I think we should make it our goal to work in something stylish and non traditional to corporate world into our wardrobe. that’s our mission. I am not a creative (by day that is). I’m a teacher. Pushing the envelope is a bit tough.

Although I was probably one of the more popular teachers when I wore retro inspired and had purple hair.
    =)

I will try to chronicle my toe dipping into creative styling at work.

one of my resolutions this year was to spend more time withmyself and this project seems very inspirational, gotta hit the sewing skills that are quite rusty, then perhaps dying will be a good addition. looks like so much fun, thanks for the fun posts.

  10. What I want to know is, after actually wearing the tights for a day, did your feet turn purple?
