Keep in Touch

When ordinary objects are put to an extraordinary use, it becomes art. It ignites the imagination, shifts your perception, just a little. And really, that’s what art is supposed to do. It’s probably why Project Runway has become such a phenomenon, I saw once a great dress made out of candy wrappers (finally, candy and couture in one!)Touch is a Brazilian collective that does handmade objects with a twist. I just love how they’ve made a gorgeous necklace out blonde and black bobby pins (or kirby grips as they are called across the pond). And toothpicks and fishing line? Forgetaboutit… add pearls and you have a lovely fan.
This is the kind of stuff that brightens my day.
