Forget about ‘practical’ shoes… In my eyes, if there is an ankle strap, that’s practical enough, add a foot petal and that’s it. This time of year is awkward, looking at shoes, knowing that the spring goodies is just weeks away, looking at the sales are getting more and more desperate. What kind of shoes can bridge the gap? Oh Deer! Trapeze – $72.99… The price isn’t too bad.. I love suede shoes, and from what I hear, its’ easier riding a bike in heels than walking in them.

Wearing high heels creates permanent foot deformities :

Honestly, what is more important, your appearance or your health? Don’t be such a victim of consumer culture.
daria, once i had my labrae pierced (i was 18 or 19… early 90′s) and after a few months i noticed my gums reciting. so i took it out.
as far as high heels are concerned, they don’t hurt your feet so much if you are smart about it. properly fitted high quality shoes are better engineered for walking and cheap ones. the people you have on your link probably wore shoes that were too small, or uncomfortable. and didn’t pay attention to their body.
you don’t just wake up one morning with hammertoe. that takes years to develop.
use your better judgment, and don’t subscribe to the ‘no pain, no gain’ mentality.
and if heels aren’t for you, then don’t wear them. that’s ok.
i personally love them. the worst i’ve experienced is a corn, and that can happen to you if you wear flats.
