Shoe D’Jour : On Taupe…

by jennine on January 10, 2008

Leave it to the Frenchies to come up with a practical shoe that’s, I don’t know subtly awesome. That’s not conventional at all, and still elegant and chic. I’m fawning… ok, so I know these shoes fit so well into my wardrobe. I know I can wear them every day, and walk around the city without dieing. I’m trying to be good, I’m trying not to buy these shoes. Will someone in France tell me Gaspard Yurkievich makes crappy overpriced products? Will they?

Probably not.

I have always been very smitten by taupe and nude heels
they ARE wonderful! when I can walk about town in a shoe it becomes a necessity not a desire

This is my first comment on your blog. I thought I should intervene since I actually have personal experience this time around. I got a pair of Gaspard Yurkievich shoes when I was in Paris and I LOVE them. They’re discrete but different and everyone seems to point them out. They’re unique but not totally out there and I can walk all day in them. Hope that helps!
