First I heard terms like Craft Mafia, now there’s knit graffiti. Somewhere in Stockholm there is a craftster perpetrating crimes of general civil disobedience. That, my dear has never been more beautiful.
Well… maybe if they knit fingerless gloves for the Statue of Liberty… or a scarf for the Prince Albert, or a beret for The Little Mermaid.
Amendment:
Ahh… Coquette tipped me off on the perpetrators of these knits… Knittaplease.com they tagged Jimi Hendrix in Seattle… Ha! This is excellent.

thank you artdiva… i just found out all the details about them…
i love notorious n.i.t.
Whomever originated this idea, it has certainly spread. I’ve seen a few telephone-pole knitted cuffs here in Denver… I love this sort of graffiti. Much friendlier looking than spray tags!
They’ve done tons here in Seattle. There was a mailbox a block from me that held on to it’s little legging for a long time.
the denver group is known as “the ladies fancywork society”.
they were just on the news!
