I still haven’t decided if I am really in the market for a new bag or not. I’ve been scouring the internet, looking at online boutiques for bags. Tobi, is having a good sale…
Gryson Olivia Bag, $535.
Indie Coterie is also having a great sale on bags, these lovely handmade bags I really love too.
Left: Verata, $238
Right: Roan Weekend Bag, $372.60
Ahhh… making decisions is hard for me sometimes. Part of me really wants a new bag, but part of me wants to buy a nice piece of furniture. Or save the money. Who knows?

Between all three, I like the Roan Weekend Bag. Great color and just like you said, can be worn on the shoulders too.
I say– save the money. Now that you’re actively looking for a bag, you might not fight the perfect one. But if you hang on to the money, you’ll have it reasonably accessible for when the perfect new bag finds you. And if you put it away in a savings account, you’ll earn some extra pennies.
thanks ashe, i might well take your advice… i’m just looking to hard, and finding things i like, but not terribly find irresistible.
I have to admit though, I saw this bag and immediately thought of you. It comes in other colors, too. But something about it seemed, well, lovely.
However, I do understand how hard bag shopping is– there is a reason I don’t collect handbags, as they seem so much more difficult to shop for than anything else (well, perhaps jeans are a bit more difficult).
So apparently your quest has me searching, too
gimme shoes have handbags????? oh my god! actually gimme shoes were the instigator of my shoe fetish, as i lived a block away from the shoppe 10 years ago!
i know what you mean about handbags, for me they have always been an afterthought. but still, i would like a nice bag… just to feel more grown up.
I agree with Ashe. Don’t look too hard and wait till inspirations strikes.
Your bag choices are much more interesting than mine. I typically get very neutral classic bags in great colors and wear them for years (seasonally).
I just got this Dooney bag because I love the clean lines and was totally seduced by the emerald color –

which will actually go great with these Choo’s I got on sale – http://shoedaydreams.blogspot.com/2007/07/happy-birthday-to-meeeeeeeeeeeeeee.html – and a pair of vintage gloves from Ebay.
