Last week, The Sartorialist caught a woman in front of the Louvre wearing what appears to be a piece from Helena Hörstedt’s No. 3 Collection. I’ve seen these on the internet, and this Swedish designer has not only left me breathless is also cited as a favorite designer by Mori & Mimosa… Seeing a woman wear this jacket, inspires me to try to wear more pleated tailored clothing. I mean, the silhouette is so sculptural and beautiful, suitable for front the Louvre.
Thank you, I feel head over heels in love with her beautiful jacket and didn’t know where to find it. I think you’ve found my new favorite designer.
A good friend of mine just introduced me to this designer. I am in complete awe of her work. Sculptural, sexy and still totally wearable.
I am in love with crystal pleats right now. I saw a crystal pleated blouson at the Eduardo Lucero show at the BoxEight Fashion show in LA, and I could’ve kicked myself for not wearing this adorable 1950s bed jacket, completely made up of tight accordian crystal pleats. I will have to find somewhere else to wear it.
I was very taken and captivated by that ensemble when I saw it on the Sartorialist’s site. And how thankful I am to you for recognizing the designer so I can wish and hope and dream.
I try to be careful when I do pleats - a wrong-placed pleat can make me look 10 pounds heavier! :O Of course, the reverse can be said as well, so it is a fun thing to experiment with.
lovely lovely lovely. a 30th bday present to myself?
sandra… so that’s what they are called! i love that name…. excellent!
c-in-c… there is no way you are about to turn 30! happy birthday! if experience has told me anything… 30s are way way way way way better than 20s. believe me.
: )
i recently found out about her too…funny that you have this post now. I LOVE HER DESIGNS!!!! and the crystal pleats especially (i also just learned something)
